CALIFORNIA - Due to their numerous health benefits and delicious taste, pomegranates have become a staple in the American diet. As summer approaches and the opportunities to spotlight this fruit flourish, POM Wonderful shared more information about its 2024 crop season.

“Our California season began in late October, with our fresh pomegranates, resulting in our largest shipment in nearly 10 years due to strong supply,” the company noted. “This allowed POM to extend its availability well into 2025 and continue to meet customer demand.”

The company noted that this demand for POM Wonderful whole pomegranates and POM Wonderful Pomegranate Arils continues to exceed expectations, as more consumers are seeking functional foods that are both healthy and convenient.

“We plan to continue meeting that demand through our spring POM Arils import program. Through this program, POM Arils will be available until July 2025,” it went on to note.

Due to proactive measures taken late last year, The Wonderful Company reported fruit size on par with previous years. Although the volumes were lower overall, POM Wonderful reported higher quality, all of which helps to extend the California fresh season further out into 2025.
