BCfresh Adds Dawn Gray to its Board of Directors
DELTA, BC - BCfresh recently announced that it has appointed produce veteran Dawn Gray to its Board of Directors. 2019 marks Gray’s 40th year in the industry, bringing a unique and fresh perspective to the company’s board.
“Adding a talent of Dawn’s caliber to our Board is the next step as we continue to expand and grow our fresh produce business,” stated Murray Driediger, President and CEO, in a recent press release. “Her experience, leadership qualities, and industry relationships are a huge benefit to our organization. We are celebrating our one-year anniversary in our new 55,000-square-foot distribution facility and are well positioned for future growth.”
Throughout her career, Gray has worked with produce companies such as The Oppenheimer Group, Turners and Growers, ENZA International, Frieda's, Vanguard International, The Autenrieth Company, World Wide Fruit (UK), BC Hot House Foods, Central California Orange Growers Cooperative, and Sunkist Growers.
The press release noted that Gray’s hard work and out-of-the-box thinking have earned her the respect of many of our industry’s leaders. She has helped companies across the supply chain increase sales, reduce market-based and operational costs, create operations savings, and focus on how to go to market with a cost-effective and targeted plan.
This past year, Gray was honored by the Produce Marketing Association’s (PMA) Center for Growing Talent with the first Women’s Catalyst Award.
“Winning this meant a great deal to me,” Gray said. “This award brings to mind the opportunities I have had to make an impact on this industry. I look forward to having a similarly positive impact at BCfresh.”
