Costco Wholesale Corporation on the Rise in August Sales Results
ISSAQUAH, WA - With a network of 838 warehouses and a footprint that spans the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, Australia, Spain, France, China, and Iceland, it’s no secret Costco knows a thing or two about growth. For the 52-week fiscal year ended August 28, 2022, the retail chain announced net sales of $222.7 billion, an increase of 15.9 percent, or $30.6 billion, from $192.1 billion during a similar period last year.
Sharing a look at its August sales results, the wholesaler has revealed net sales of $17.55 billion for the four weeks ended August 28, according to a press release. This gain represents an increase of 11.4 percent, or $1.8 billion, from the $15.75 billion reported last year.
Costco also reported net sales of $70.8 billion for the 16-week fourth quarter ending August 28, 2022, showcasing a 15.3 percent increase from $61.4 billion during a similar period last year.
