Don Goforth Joins Primavera Marketing's Sales and Marketing Department
LINDEN, CA - With more than a quarter-century of industry knowledge in his repertoire, fresh produce veteran Don Goforth has chosen his next path of growth and the company with which to pave that road ahead. As of March 1 of this year, Primavera Marketing welcomed Don to the team in its sales and marketing department. Here, his goal will be to bring value to the company through strategically broadening an already impressive customer base and helping wherever he can in the overall sales and marketing program.
“I strongly feel that quality of product and commitment to excellent customer service is foundational to any successful program and the reputation for both at Primavera is second to none,” Don shared with me. “The Sambado family is a multi-generation farming company that strives for excellence in all they do, and I feel very honored to represent them in my new role.”
To kick off his plethora of responsibilities, Don will initially be focused on the Linden, California-based company’s fresh California cherry program. In addition to being one of the state's largest fresh cherry organizations, Primavera maintains a robust apple program offering quality apples from August through March.
On top of fresh fruit, Linden is known as one of the finest areas in the world to grow walnuts, and Primavera maintains a significant walnut growing and production operation as well, distributing high-quality walnuts to customers worldwide.
“Personally, I am really looking forward to this next step in my career. With a seasonal concentration, my wife Debi and I will have some new opportunities to travel a bit and spend a bit more family time,” Don revealed. “I have long admired Primavera's sales and marketing expertise under the direction of Rich Sambado, and I hope to be a complement to an already very strong program. Rich and the whole Primavera team have long been committed to quality and operational excellence, and I am greatly looking forward to getting started.”
