Envy™ Apples and Hallmark Actor Andrew Walker Host Holiday Sampling at Longo’s; Mimmo Franzone Comments
TORONTO, CANADA - “Mom, is it Christmas yet?” my nephew asked over dinner last night.
“Four more sleeps,” my sister replied. The countdown to Christmas is serious business! And T&G Global’s latest activation is proof. The marketer’s Envy™ apple growers are collaborating with Hallmark Channel actor and entrepreneur Andrew Walker for a sampling experience at Longo’s in line with the official Countdown to Christmas event.
"We’re extremely grateful that we were able to partner with Envy this holiday season," said Mimmo Franzone, Vice President of Merchandising at Longo's. "It has gotten off to a great start, and our guests are super excited about the promotions we have planned over the next couple of months."
On Monday, December 11, Walker joined Envy at Longo’s in Toronto, Canada’s, Maple Leaf Square to hand out samples, sign autographs, and join in selfies with fans. The Envy team also passed out free swag items to shoppers, a release noted.
This activation was part of an ongoing multimedia collaboration Envy apples is conducting with Hallmark Channel as well as Walker this holiday season, including digital billboards across Toronto as well as digital and social promotions throughout North America.
Countdown to Christmas fans are also being treated to a special appearance from Envy apples in Hallmark’s hit Christmas film, Three Wise Men and a Baby. In the film, Envy apples appear in a key scene in Walker’s character’s kitchen.
