Former Monterey Mushrooms Grower Lindsey Roberts Rejoins as Marketing Coordinator
WATSONVILLE, CA - Monterey Mushrooms is welcoming Lindsey Roberts back into its fold as its new Marketing Coordinator.
Roberts will be responsible for print and website layout and design, content writing and editing, social media marketing, and ad concept development, according to a press release. She formerly worked for Monterey Mushrooms in Quality Assurance & Food Safety and as a grower between 2010 and 2013. Prior to re-joining the company, Roberts oversaw Marketing Communications at Lakeside Organic Gardens, LLC.
She will report to Mike O’Brien, Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
“Lindsey’s marketing skills, consumer insight, coupled with her extensive mushroom knowledge gives her a unique perspective,” said O’Brien. “She will be an outstanding addition to our sales and marketing team.”
Roberts said she was honored to have the opportunity to re-join Monterey Mushrooms, noting that the mushroom industry has held a strong place in her heart since graduating from California Polytechnic State University.
She added, “Mushrooms are a niche market and a commodity that can complement literally any meal. Be it breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a snack, mushrooms can make anything more delicious. This makes the marketing possibilities endless and exciting.”
Roberts’ new role is effective today, Monday, August 3rd.
