Four Star Fruit Prepares for California Season; Doug Rossi Comments
DELANO, CA - From bowls to wine glasses, grapes play an important part in my household, and shoppers are always eager to see these juice-filled globes on their local grocery shelves. Four Star Fruit, a premier grower of year-round conventional and organic table grapes, is equally eager to delight retailers and shoppers with quality product while also being committed to innovation and sustainable farming—and that includes an increase in volume.
“We are excited to add both conventional and organic acreage to our portfolio in the Southern Valley of California,” said Doug Rossi, Sales Executive. “The increased volume of production [will] help our retail partners transition smoothly into the season.”
The company forecasts an increase in red, green, and black grapes this year during the California season. Four Star is expected to begin harvest in the most southern region of Arvin in the next couple of weeks.
According to the release, the California table grape season is following the lead of the Mexican production, which is in full swing, resulting in increased volume and movement after a tough import season.
Additionally, the current weather in Southern California has been mild, creating the ideal environment for the fruit to develop, resulting in exceptional eating quality for consumers this summer.
