Frieda's Spotlights French Style Crêpes for Mother's Day; Cindy Sherman Comments
LOS ALAMITOS, CA - In my house, it wouldn’t be a proper Mother’s Day celebration without serving my mom brunch in bed. The same can be said for many other shoppers, which is why Frieda’s is spotlighting its French Style Crêpes, which provide the perfect base for sweet and savory meal options.
“When I think about the perfect Mother’s Day food, I think easy, loving, and delicious. My kids want to feel like they ‘made’ something, but sometimes that can lead to bigger messes to clean up,” said Cindy Sherman, Director of Marketing and Innovation. “One way we get around this is with Frieda’s French Style Breakfast Crêpes. My husband can whip up a batch of scrambled eggs, and the kids can wrap them up in the crepes and pile on toppings like ripe avocados, sliced apples, Brie cheese, and more.”
Frieda’s is encouraging retailers to give their consumers the gifts of convenience and flavor by highlighting the crêpes through endcaps and displays, turning the produce aisle into a brunch destination, a press release explained.
Cross-merchandising is also key to bringing in extra register rings. Frieda’s recommends spring vegetables like asparagus and bell peppers along with a range of specialty cheeses. Fruits like strawberries, blackberries, apples, and more are also great to showcase accompanied by chocolate dips, whipped cream, and other sweet toppings.
Mother’s Day is just around the corner, so get your displays set up lickety-split to take advantage of this prime opportunity.
