Good Foods Announces the Launch of New Value-Added Avocado Mash
PLEASANT PRAIRIE, WI - Good Foods has brought a new product launch to the United Fresh Convention this week—behold Avocado Mash. Made from just four simple ingredients and hand-scooped Hass avocados, the product makes for the avocado toast of millennial’s dreams in a ripened, ready-to-eat format.
“With avocados appearing in more meal inspiration than ever before, we know people are searching for a product like Avocado Mash to add to their healthy lifestyle habits,” said Kristyn Lawson, Vice President of Retail Sales at Good Foods. “The Avocado Mash offers people a perfectly ripened avocado spread, ready-to-eat, and convenient.”
Hand-scooped for your pleasure, Good Foods reported in a press release that this method marks the brand’s commitment to providing the best quality products to people reaching for healthier snacking options. In that same vein, check out the four simple ingredients that make up the 90-calorie portion-controlled packs:
- Organic Hass avocados
- Lemon juice
- Sea salt
- Black pepper
Also new and on-trend for the company is the addition of plant-based salad dressings. Seeing the market for a clean label salad dressing people can trust, Good Foods said it was aiming for a homemade feel, but convenient, made with fresh fruit and vegetables without any preservatives. The line currently includes the following flavors:
- Apple Thyme
- Asian Ginger
- Beet Balsamic
“According to Mintel, about 83 percent of the U.S. is adding plant-based foods to their diets to improve health and nutrition,” said Mandy Bottomlee, Director of Marketing. “By offering a wider range of options for shoppers, we hope to provide an easier solution for people looking to improve their health by adding more plant-based items to their diets.”
