Good Foods' Danyel O'Connor Discusses Plant-Based Product Line
PLEASANT PRAIRIE, WI - In my family’s house, the focus of our holiday party isn’t on the turkey or the ham: it’s on how good the appetizers are. It might sound dramatic, but for us aficionados, finding the right dip is paramount to a crisis. Thankfully, Good Foods has the answer for anyone’s holiday party scramblings. With its latest plant-based dip line, the company pumps up what it means to be delectably snackable.
I talked to Danyel O’Connor, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, to find out how this line came into being.
“We are very proud of the hard work our Culinary and R&D team put into this project platform,” she tells me. “We have come up with five game-changing delectable dips that will whet the appetites of vegans and traditional consumers alike. Good Foods is not narrowly focused on specific dietary needs, although these products fit many of those requirements. We focus on making delicious, responsibly sourced foods, with clean ingredients that anyone would enjoy eating or feeding to their friends and family. These dips were developed mindfully to be low in carbs and high in flavor.”
Available in Tzatziki, Avocado Pesto, Creamy Cilantro, Buffalo, and Queso, I wonder which dips pairs well with what. Danyel is more than happy to oblige me.
“Buffalo style dip works well in appetizer cups with celery stalks. Our Avocado Pesto is perfect for pairing with zoodles or noodles. Queso can be eaten with your favorite chips—sweet potato chips in particular work really well with this dip—or you can mix it in with mashed potatoes. Creamy Cilantro is a great replacement for traditional ranch dip, drizzled over tacos, or used as a sandwich spread. And our Tzatziki is a great compliment to chicken skewers, a dip with pita slices and red peppers, or as a topper on gyros,” she enlightens me.
If I’m already salivating, I’m sure consumers will be, too.
In addition to these dips, the company is working on optimizing its salad dressing line—which will launch in the next few months. So stay tuned to AndNowUKnow to know the latest in plant-based offerings!
