Hazel Technologies Showcases Kiwifruit Quality Solutions During Final Quality Summit of 2021; Mario Cervantes and David Tanner Share
CHICAGO, IL - Rounding out a year of successful events, Hazel Technologies has revealed the date for its final Quality Summit of 2021, which will take a deeper look at the kiwifruit category. Taking place December 9, the one-hour experience will feature keynote speakers from across the industry as the North American kiwifruit season hits its stride and ahead of the 2022 New Zealand and European seasons.
“Through working with kiwifruit growers from New Zealand to California, we understand the unique need for preharvest and postharvest solutions to optimize budbreak and deliver premium quality around the globe,” commented Mario Cervantes, Senior Business Development Manager - AgTech, Hazel Technologies, who will also be taking the stage at the Summit. “We look forward to bringing these tailored technologies to European and [Latin American] growers in 2022, as well as continuing to support the farms we’ve been working with for several years.”
The webinar will kick off with a presentation from David Tanner, Managing Director at Start Afresh. This will then be followed by a grower panel featuring Allan Clover, Grower Services at Mount Pack & Cool; Dwayne Farrington, Technical Leader – Kiwifruit and Subtropical Crops at Farmlands Co-operative Society Limited; and Josh Inglis, Manager at Inglis Packers Limited, as noted in a release.
Cervantes will be closing out the event, taking a closer look at pre- and post-harvest technologies that benefit and protect kiwifruit quality.
“I have dedicated my career to both pre- and post-harvest advancements for the kiwifruit industry and look forward to discussing the growth and science that helps enhance and protect quality in this diverse category,” said Tanner. “As a grower, innovator, and educator, it’s always a pleasure to connect with fellow professionals and discuss where the industry is headed.”
This webinar will mark the 9th Quality Summit put on by Hazel Tech this year alone. Previous events featured insights on the apple, avocado, cherry, grape, and stone fruit categories. The last Quality Summit of 2021 will be free, and registration is open to the general industry until the date of the event, or until capacity is reached.
