Index Fresh Announces New Hire, New Tech, and Network Expansion
RIVERSIDE, CA - In an effort to consistently provide quality service and adopt innovative ways to better its relationship-building efforts, Index Fresh has announced plans to fine tune its transportation operations. The company has declared its intentions to add to the Index Fresh logistics team, implement technological changes, and expand its partnerships and network.
“We have a very good relationship with our brokers and carriers that currently transport our products to customers, both inbound and outbound,” said Abdoulie Jobe, Logistics Manager. “So, as I join the company, we want to make sure that we continue to have processes in place to fine-tune operations in terms of providing competitive freight rates and timely delivery of products in the right temperature environment to our customers.”
Jobe joined the Index Fresh logistics team this month—in the newly-created role of Logistics Manager—bringing 23 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, and distribution management for high profile companies such as El Pollo Loco, Carl’s Jr., and CEVA Logistics.
“The knowledge [Jobe] has gained over the years in distribution management will prove invaluable for Index Fresh as he begins to reshape our transportation department,” said Todd Elder, Vice President of Sales. “He has vast experience in transportation business development, complemented with high caliber general management qualifications, that will support various teams at the company.”
According to an Index Fresh press release, the company will equip its trucks with a tracking system, starting this month; the system will provide location and temperature monitoring. This technology will provide real-time data to customers about their orders.
And, during the next two years, Index Fresh noted that it will implement several other new programs to continue its quality service to customers.
“We’re also expanding our carrier network to not only include our current brokerage firms, but to blend in active base carriers as well. This will enable us to have the most competitive freight rates for our customers and expand our outreach to other geographical areas that we don’t currently service,” added Elder.
