Naturipe Farms Hits Peak Production for California Strawberry Supply; Jerry Moran Details
SALINAS, CA - Retailers, now is the time to prep the strawberry section as Naturipe Farms reaches peak production for its California strawberries, bringing its highest volumes of strawberries to store shelves now through June.
“This year’s California strawberry crop is peaking just in time for National Strawberry Month,” said Jerry Moran, Vice President of Sales. “We are seeing great quality and delicious flavor on these sweet and juicy berries. We are thrilled to be offering strong promotable volumes heading into May.”
With all California regions in full production, the grower’s Oxnard, Santa Maria, and Watsonville-Salinas operations are producing a mix of proprietary and U.C. varieties at peak volumes with great quality and supplies, according to a press release.
The sizing of the berries is perfect for packing into special packs such as the supplier’s 2, 3, and 4 lb packs. In addition, Naturipe has a large supply of long-stem strawberries just in time to capitalize on Mother’s Day promotions and merchandising strategies.
