Bringing home several awards to add to The Wonderful Company’s trophy case, Wonderful Pistachios No Shells Sea Salt & Vinegar were launched in March 2021 and have already stepped into the snacking spotlight as a top contender for consumer attention. According to a press release, the No Shell pistachios have 6 grams of plant protein in one serving, fiber, and unsaturated fats that keep shopper fuller, longer, meeting the increased demand for healthy snacking options.
Recognizing the lineup’s contribution to the snacking aisle, Good Housekeeping highlighted the innovative product with a Good Housekeeping 2021 Healthy Snack Award in the Nutritious Nuts & Legumes category. Only snacking products that meet the publication's nutritional criteria can earn this honor. The products are also analyzed by an in-house registered dietitian and team of nutrition experts in the Good Housekeeping Institute’s Nutrition Lab to examine ingredients lists, nutrition facts labels, packaging claims, and flavor profiles to ensure the best products are selected. Consumer testers also weigh in on the taste to provide real-life analysis.
In addition to its award from Good Housekeeping, the brand won Gold for “Best Savory Snack” in Delicious Living magazine’s 2021 Best Bite Awards for Consumer Choice, which is voted on by natural health shoppers. The Salt & Vinegar flavor was also named the “Most Innovate New Product” in the Salty Snacks category at the 2021 Sweets & Snacks Expo, which is judged by leading retail names from companies like Costco, 7-Eleven, and Walgreen’s.
Joining Wonderful Pistachios in the addition of new accolades, POM Wonderful earned several distinctions as well for its POM Antioxidant Super Tea flavors, Pomegranate Elderberry Boost Tea and Pomegranate Orange Blossom White Tea.
