SACRAMENTO, PA - One thing that is definitely not lost on our industry is the value of a formidable supplier network. Fresh Solutions Network continues to flex the strength of its network of potato farmers, and Sterman Masser Potato Farms will be further showcasing this impressive legacy.

Sterman Masser Potato Farms’ Side Delights® Petite potatoes will soon be on display as the Fresh Solutions network partner looks to highlight its latest innovations within the industry. Available in red, yellow, Fingerling, Duo, Trio, and purple varieties, the Side Delights Petite potatoes are U.S. No.1 grade, non-GMO, pre-washed, and consistently sized for fast, even cooking, a press release explained.
The superior-quality potatoes come in newly redesigned 1.5 lb and 3 lb stand-up gusset bags, as well as mesh pillow packs in various sizes and netted pouches with newly redesigned tags.
As the release went on to explain, this new Petite potato packaging leverages contrasting colors between the bag and the potato color to attract shoppers’ attention and brighten the display with a bold, clean, contemporary style.
Showcasing one of its latest sustainability efforts, the grower will also present additional potato lines in its new Bioflex™ packaging technology, an eco-friendly solution that breaks down in modern landfills. This innovation will be on display at the Northeast Produce Council’s (NEPC) Expo on August 21–22.
“Bioflex looks and works like most plastic containers but won’t remain in landfill for generations,” added Reichart. “We are the only produce supplier to feature it. Please visit our booth to see and feel the new material for yourself. We are excited to show it in Boston at booth #425.”
