Big Y Appoints Christian D’Amour as District Director for Connecticut Stores
SPRINGFIELD, MA - Congratulations are in order for Big Y’s Christian D’Amour! The former district sales and merchandising mentor for the retailer’s 15-store district throughout Western Massachusetts will now man the helm as District Director of Big Y’s 16 locations in Connecticut.
According to The Berkshire Eagle, D’Amour got his start at Big Y as a part-time service clerk when he was just 14 years old. Later in his career, he managed Big Y properties in Southampton, Wilbraham, and West Springfield, Massachusetts. Then, in 2019, D’Amour was promoted to his former role as District Manager for Western Massachusetts.
Most recently in that position, the newly named leader was in charge of directing the company’s e-commerce platform.
Having got his start with the company at such a young age, we are eager to see how this rising retail star continues to progress in his career.
