Casey’s General Stores Acquires Convenience Stores from EG Group; Darren Rebelez, Nick Unkovic, and Zuber Issa Share



ANKENY, IO - If you’re reading this page, we can only assume your interest was piqued by news of a recent convenience store acquisition. Casey’s General Stores has announced a strategic agreement to purchase 63 convenience stores from EG America, a subsidiary of EG Group.

We look forward to serving more guests in these markets and welcoming the team members from this transaction into the Casey’s family.”

The 63 stores are located in Kentucky and Tennessee and currently operate under the Minit Mart and Certified Oil banners. As a press release noted, Casey’s is expected to retain the impacted employees at each store, and EG America is cooperating to make the transition as seamless as possible.

The deal is expected to close later this year, subject to customary regulatory approvals.
