COACHELLA, CA - Domestic table grapes are some of the sweetest offerings during the summer. For retailers looking to bulk up their programs with California-grown product, you’ve come to the right place.

Castle Rock Vineyards’ Laura Berryessa breaks down the current state of the market, as well as what partners can expect throughout the season.

Laura Berryessa, Sales Manager, Castle Rock Vineyards“We are starting in Coachella next week and will be in full swing with all three colors the week of June 19,” the Castle Rock Sales Manager shared with me. “The market is holding strong due to cooler-than-normal temperatures, which have slowed production.”

Castle Rock Vineyards has a number of varieties in its portfolio, all of which fall under the umbrella of red seedless, green seedless, or black seedless.

As the table grape market holds strong due to cooler-than-normal temperatures, Castle Rock Vineyards will be in full swing with all three colors the week of June 19

Laura noted that although the season saw a later start, good volume is expected during the transition to the San Joaquin Valley.

“Once we start, we want to have product for our customers from the beginning of the season to the end. Our partners know when we start the season, we will have the high quality that they are accustomed to,” Laura emphasized.
