C.H. Robinson Introduces Freightview, a TMS Software Platform

EDEN PRAIRIE, MN -Time is money, just ask C.H. Robinson.

The company recently introduced Freightview®, a neutral, cloud-based transportation management system (TMS) software platform which benefits customers by cutting the time and money the small and midsized businesses (SMBs) spend on freight shipping.  How do they do this? By streamlining quoting, booking, tracking, and reporting.

Jason Roberts, Co-Founder, Freightview“Many shippers are growing quickly, but managing freight is slowing them down. We built Freightview so small and midsized business can be more competitive in today’s marketplace,” said Jason Roberts, Co-Founder of Freightview. “Freightview redefines a business’s relationship with shipping as employees ship freight in a fraction of the time and managers gain control and visibility of shipping operations.”

The Freightview innovation was created to provide a valuable communication tool to SMBs who remained challenged by other options in the TMS software market, according to a press release, and are SMBs that use multiple less than truckload (LTL) transportation service providers. To learn about exactly how this works, watch the short video below:

Upon adopting Freightview as their TMS platform, shippers can maintain direct relationships with their LTL providers while being able to compare shipment cost, transit time, and service level the company notes. This eliminates the need to repeatedly log into multiple LTL carrier websites. Early adopters have said that Freightview increases employee productivity by reducing time spent on shipping activities, and arms them with the data needed to negotiate better rates, ensure accountability, and uncover additional savings.

Freightview also facilitates automated communication between a shipper and their service provider utilizing the patent pending Application Program Interface (API) workflow process. This Interface eliminates the need to connect electronically with carriers through the intensive and drawn out Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) process.

Jordan Kass, President of Managed Services, C.H. Robinson

“In this new era of cloud based applications, API’s are the standard protocol that allow computing systems to interact with one another, thus allowing businesses to exchange information faster and easier,” said Jordan Kass, President of Managed Services at C.H. Robinson. “This is the EDI of the future.”

This program can all be accomplished through Freighview’s easy three-step setup process, which allows a shipper to be completely setup with the system in 24-48 hours. Freightview can easily integrate into a shipper’s website and sales applications to provide shipping rates on Internet purchases or incorporate freight quotes into sales bids.
