CropTrak’s Digital Contracts to Payment Solution Set to Surpass $1 Billion in Customer Transactions; Mohan Tavorath Shares

RALEIGH, NC - CropTrak announced that its digital grower contracting system, Contracts to Payments (C2P), is set to surpass $1 billion in supply-chain-related payment transactions by Q1 2025. The solution, which is one application in CropTrak’s digital supply chain portfolio, is designed to support and manage contract crop production and integrate post-harvest activities including transportation, receiving, weighing, grading, and grower payments.

“Our software platform connects food buyers and food producers capturing and reporting client-specific field activities and sustainability metrics,” said Mohan Tavorath, Chief Executive Officer, CropTrak. “Since the introduction of our digital contracting solution, we have proven the application is robust, scalable, and unique in the industry.”

CropTrak first digitized the grower contracting process in 2020 for 10 different vegetable crops. In that year, CropTrak successfully implemented over 300 contracts and processed $68 million in certified grower payments, a press release explained. Additionally, the solution measured, tracked, and processed nearly 400 post-harvest freight payments totaling $17 million.

By 2024, those numbers have grown to $830 million in grower payments and $140 million in freight payment for over 4,000 contracts, the release noted. The company expects the application to surpass $1 billion in total transactions within the next quarter.

Today, multiple category-leading food companies rely on the application to manage contracts for fresh and processed vegetables, citrus, stonefruit, yellow corn, white corn, and popcorn.

“Enabling clients to strengthen grower relationships while improving forecast accuracy and simplifying complex transactions has enabled us to scale the application rapidly,” added Tavorath.

Earlier this year, the company celebrated its 15-year anniversary as a digital leader in food and agriculture and continues to expand, serving a diverse set of clients spanning plant genetics, row crops, permanent crops, fresh and processed foods, as well as farm asset and risk management companies.
