Eagle Eye Produce Highlights Onion Grower Randy Bowns in Latest Grower Spotlight Video; Dallin Klinger Comments
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Where would we be without farmers’ hands in the dirt? A heck of a lot less healthy, and in this business, probably not nearly as successful. Eagle Eye Produce knows this well, and continues to shine the spotlight on its hard-working farmers through its Grower Spotlight videos. In its most recent release, we get to know a bit about Randy Bowns, an onion grower in Eastern Oregon.
“Randy is a new addition to our onion program with the newly formed partnership between Central Produce Distribution and Eagle Eye Produce,” said Dallin Klingler of Marketing and Communications. “Four second-generation and five third-generation families work together full-time to make this family farm successful, and Randy is a big part of it.”
Dallin told me that Bowns grew up on the farm and recalls happy childhood memories of the trade with his family. Passionate about growing a good crop and seeing his hard work pay off, Bowns has already made significant contributions to Eagle Eye’s success.
This coming onion season will reportedly be the biggest Eagle Eye Produce has produced, and the company is especially thankful to have Bowns on board.
“What I like about growing onions is seeing the progress every day. You see them start off really small, and every day you get to see them grow and get bigger, and you can see all your hard work in front of you,” Bowns said in the video. “What makes this area so special for growing onions is we have nice warm days, and then we have cool nights. It really seems to jumpstart these onions and keep them going throughout the year.”
Eagle Eye Produce strives to shine a spotlight on the dedicated people behind its food and brands, and more Grower Spotlight videos are coming down the pike as the grower preps for onion and potato harvest.
