Homegrown Organic Farms Announces Bee Better Certification for Organic Blueberries
PORTERVILLE, CA - Let’s hear it for the bees! Homegrown Organic Farms’ (HGO) latest announcement, which marks its Oregon blueberry production as Bee Better certified, is a clear win for both the grower and the bees it wants to protect.
“Being in the organic fruit business, we are very aware of how much our crops rely on bees. Going through this certification was just one of the ways we are working to care for our land and environment and ultimately ensure the sustainability of our farms longterm. According to a press release, this certification recognizes the cultural practices HGO has adopted to protect bees and other pollinators and demonstrates the conservation-mindedness of the company and the farmers it represents.
