Jasmine Vineyards Teases New Allison Grape Variety and a Promotional Market

DELANO, CA - Exciting things are happening at Jasmine Vineyards as the company continues to roll out new initiatives that bolster its retail partners’ programs. One of its most recent developments was the addition of the Allison grape variety to its portfolio, and I had the chance to speak with Jon Zaninovich, President, to get the inside scoop on all things grapes.

Jon Zaninovich, President, Jasmine Vineyards“As we approach the holiday season, Jasmine Vineyards has plenty of green, red, and black seedless varieties to meet consumer demands. We'd also like to highlight that our Fresh Alerts™ newsletter has been well received and many of our wholesale buyers look forward to these weekly updates as well as our Instagram feed; additionally, Allison (described in the recent Fresh Alerts) is our new variety and is currently being harvested for the first time,” Jon told me.

Jasmine Vineyards is in the last quarter of its season, currently harvesting Autumn King, Autumn Royal, and the new Allison variety. The company is shipping those varieties along with Sweet Celebration, Great Green, and Sweet Globe. With the exception of a couple heat waves, Jon explained that the weather has been very favorable, with warm, dry summer and fall seasons and perfect harvest conditions.

“This season is far better compared to prior seasons in terms of quality due to excellent growing conditions,” Jon continued. “The market is currently in promotional volumes, and we are able to meet retailer needs as demand and pricing are in line with previous years at this time.”
