Meijer Launches Personalized Nutrition Service
GRAND RAPIDS, MI - A newly introduced service may soon be driving increased produce consumption for Meijer shoppers. Looking to help its consumers reach their health and wellness goals this year, the grocery chain has launched a new personalized virtual nutrition coaching service.
The inventive new offering will be led by Meijer’s registered dietitians, who will offer personalized nutrition guidance for individuals in any stage of their health journey, ABC 4 reported. The coaching service will only be offered in Michigan to start, with plans to expand across the retailer’s Midwest footprint in the future.
The service is confidential and focused on helping individuals achieve and maintain optimal health through proper nutrition and dietary choices, the source noted. Shoppers must be 18 years or older to participate.
Meijer will be offering 15-minute exploration sessions for free, along with a 45-minute initial session for $89 and 30-minute follow-up appointments at $49 per session.
An individual’s personal program may include:
- Assessment, Monitoring, and Evaluation
- Education
- Meal Planning
- Nutritional Coaching
- Food Allergy and Intolerance Management
- Weight Management
- Behavioral Change Support
Shoppers can sign up for the service by scanning the QR code on in-store signage or marketing materials or through the Nutrition page on Meijer’s website.
