New Orleans Restaurant Pairs Strawberries with Diamonds for Nearly $4 Million Treat
NEW ORLEANS, LA – Swank and strawberries seem to make a particularly delectable pairing, at least according to the New Orleans-based restaurant Arnaud’s.
For those just begging to spend that spare $3.95 million burning a whole in their silken pockets, Arnaud’s is just your destination and Strawberries Arnaud just your dessert.
Sold during Lousiana strawberry season, this dessert promises to celebrate the plump fruit’s local region by pairing the whole berries with a sliced lime, mint, cinnamon, and of course, whipped cream.
The price tag, however, comes from the combination of two even sweeter toppings, according to 710keel.com; soaking the berries in wine that sells for $25,000 a bottle, and a 7.09-carat diamond engagement ring.
Of course, for those of us waiting to spend our 3.95 million on a treat of another sort, Strawberries Arnaud is offered on the menu without the wine and ring pairing, but still promising the same strawberry-focused delectability.
