PRO*ACT Appoints Laura Frank Barnard as Chief Financial Officer; Chip Walker Comments
MONTEREY, CA - Food industry vet Laura Frank Barnard is traversing new territory. The leader was recently named PRO*ACT USA’s new Chief Financial Officer, a role in which she will provide financial stewardship of company assets while aligning business and finance strategy to support continued business growth.
Barnard is reportedly the Founder of the MUUV GRUUP, where she launched and self-funded multiple startups to make active living fun across all generations. The organization now has a global presence with notable companies such as Muuv Bikes. She also spent nine years as the CFO of Halpern’s Steak & Seafood, which was sold to Gordon Foodservice in 2015. There, Barnard partnered with industry executives to execute a strategic plan that resulted in over $375 million of growth in just eight years.
According to a press release, Barnard received her MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth and has a track record of delivering results and creating value. She is a proud mother of four who loves to be outside, compete in ultra-marathons, and more.
Barnard will be based at PRO*ACT’s headquarters in Monterey, California, reporting to Chip Walker, President and Chief Executive officer.
