Steve Barnard, Steve Grinstead, Nina Patil, and Mayda Sotomayor-Kirk Headline PMA's Next Virtual Town Hall
UNITED STATES - Produce Marketing Association’s (PMA) Virtual Town Halls have served as a vital resource for our industry in recent months. Ever at the forefront of how it can support fresh produce operators, the association’s upcoming Virtual Town Hall, to take place July 8 at 12 p.m. Eastern Time, is centered on Crisis-Proofing Your Business.
Steve Barnard, President and CEO of Mission Produce; Steve Grinstead, CEO of FreshEdge; Nina Patil, Director of Fresh Express Logistics; and Mayda Sotomayor-Kirk, CEO of Seald Sweet, will convene this Wednesday to discuss and discover what successful leaders have done to inspire change in their organizations, empower people, and make their businesses as crisis-proof as possible.
After the general session, according to a news release, three critical roundtable discussions will be held with focuses on the following:
- Retail/Grocery - An update on fresh produce sales for the week ending 6/28 paired with a recap of July 4 with learnings from the field and late summer expectations relating to demand, promotions, and seasonal events
- Foodservice - A deep-dive discussion with foodservice industry leader Steve Grinstead, CEO at FreshEdge. He will share insight on how to ensure your business, relationships, and career are sustained through uncertain times
- Grower/Shipper - An update on produce safety outbreaks and investigations, including a Q&A on the ongoing Cyclospora outbreak
