Sysco Launches One Planet. One Table. Assortment; Neil Russell and Victoria Gutierrez Detail



HOUSTON, TX - Across the produce and retail industries, the focus on sustainability remains prominent as consumers have transitioned to searching for environmentally conscious products and companies. Sysco is helping its customers meet this demand with the launch of its One Planet. One Table. assortment, which features certified and sustainably focused offerings.

One Table., Sysco customers in the U.S. can now easily discover more sustainable options for their menus with the new capabilities in our e-commerce platform, Sysco Shop.”

The Sysco One Planet. One Table. assortment includes over 3,000 items across 15 categories that are backed by one of 20-plus leading sustainability certifications and standards, included in Sysco’s sustainability commitments for seafood or fresh produce, or plant-based alternative proteins.

According to a release, this assortment represents another step forward in the distributor’s commitment to leading the industry toward a more sustainable future.

This announcement comes alongside the release of Sysco’s 2023 Sustainability Report and DEI report, which highlights progress against the company’s goals across three pillars of sustainability: People, Products, and the Planet. Top accomplishments include:

  • Contributing over $280 million through FY23 toward the company’s $500 million Global Good Goal
  • Exceeding its goal of increasing spend with certified diverse suppliers by 25 percent
  • Exceeding its goal for sustainable agriculture and expanding the program to include 14 fresh crops
