LINN, TX - The Texas International Produce Association (TIPA) is bringing a new event to the industry that has its target audience lining up for target practice...and for a great cause. Last week, TIPA kicked off its inaugural Skeet Shooting event that brought together industry members to rally around TexPAC, the association’s political action committee, to raise funds to help the Texas and Mexico produce industries in Washington D.C. and also to raise money for Hurricane Harvey relief.

Dante Galeazzi, President and CEO, TIPA“This event pulls together the efforts we’re trying to achieve with TIPA and includes people who may not have participated in events of this nature before,” Dante Galeazzi, CEO and President shares. “It was a great evening of camaraderie and we were able to raise funds for both causes with amazing outcomes.”

The event brought together 18 teams with 100 participants in attendance. Add in five briskets, 150 sausage links, seven ice chests full of beverages, and a large pot of beans and you’ve got yourself an event to impress. The evening raised $1,330 for Harvey relief efforts with continued initiatives to support our friends in Texas who are being impacted by the hurricane.

Tommy Wilkins, Director of Sales, Grow Farms Texas“This inaugural event was a success and helps support our vision of expanding our visibility and reach into key events outside of the traditional golf tournaments that typically host causes such as this,” Tommy Wilkins, Director of Sales for Grow Farms Texas, shares. “It is important that we come together and support our programs to promote growth across the industry.
