BENTONVILLE, AR - A C-suite appointment is guiding the latest success strategy for Walmart, which has unveiled its newest Chief Procurement Officer. Tim Ritz will be taking over the vital role on September 18, replacing DK Singh, who left Walmart earlier this month after holding the position since 2018.

Walmart recently named Tim Ritz as its new Chief Procurement Officer to strengthen its operational strategies

In an internal memo obtained by the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal, Walmart reported that Ritz will report to Chief Financial Officer John David Rainey and will relocate to Northwest Arkansas to work from the Bentonville home office. Ritz will be responsible for delivering strategic business solutions that support business partnerships, enhance service, and maximize value for customers and shareholders, Talk Business & Politics reported.

The experienced Chief joins Walmart from PayPal, where he has spent the past eight years leading procurement and real estate for the financial tech firm. Ritz has also held leadership roles in supply chain and procurement operations at Hertz and United Airlines.
