Albertsons and Safeway to Hire 2,000 in Washington State
WASHINGTON STATE - How do you respond to accelerated growth in the regions in which you serve? More boots on the ground. As the communities in Washington State invest their Safeway and Albertsons store loyalty into the company, the retailers are responding in kind with more personnel to address the needs of its gracious shoppers.
With growth elevating the goals of Albertsons and Safeway, the retailers are looking to fill 2,000 immediate job openings at its western Washington grocery stores, according to Q13 Fox Local, which added that the company said it was hiring for the jobs to “best serve the increasing needs of our communities throughout Puget Sound.”
This investment in personnel for in-store positions will impact the produce, deli, meat, bakery, fuel stations, customer service, and cashier and courtesy clerk arenas. In addition, Safeway and Albertsons are also hiring for full and part-time delivery drivers, according to Q13 Fox.
As we take the temperature of this retail powerhouse family, Safeway and Albertsons' Seattle Division now operates 222 stores in Washington, North Idaho, and Alaska.
