Albertsons Companies Hires Narayan Iyengar as New EVP, Digital Marketing and E-Commerce
BOISE, ID – In a move that appears to signal a more aggressive foray into the online retail, Albertsons Companies announced Monday, January 23, that it has appointed Narayan Iyengar as its new Senior Vice President, Digital Marketing and E-Commerce.

Iyengar has spent nearly 20 years in e-commerce, digital, and business transformations.
He joins the grocery retailer from Walt Disney Company where he served as VP of E-Commerce and Digital Travel Trade, according to a press release. During his tenor at Walt Disney, Iyengar built, enhanced, and optimized e-commerce capabilities across an eco-system spanning 20 websites and apps.
Priorly, Iyengar was a leader in McKinsey’s Digital and Business Technology group—helping global firms drive business value using technology.
Iyengar will assume his new role effective immediately and will relocate to the company's Pleasanton office in the next week.
