Aldi Looking for More Alabama Locations
BIRMINGHAM, AL – Aldi is currently looking for more store locations in Birmingham, Alabama.
AL.com quotes Troy Marshall, Vice President of Aldi’s Mount Juliet Division, as saying at the opening of the retailer's 18th location in the state, “We still have some work left to do. We are definitely not finished in the Birmingham metro area.”
Aldi is just the latest in the list of grocery store chains that have been active in the Birmingham metro area this year. As we previously reported, both Trader Joe’s and Sprouts Farmers Market have entered this growing market. Wal-Mart Neighborhood Markets also have a stake in the area.
The Birmingham Business Journal notes that Sprouts has announced three new stores in the metro area and both Trader Joe’s and Wal-Mart each have one store set to open in 2015.
