Arable Capital Partners Details Strategic Partnership With Progressive Produce; Derek Yurosek, Marty Kamer, and More Comment
BELLEVUE, WA - Did you catch our announcement last month revealing the sale of Progressive Produce to Arable Capital Partners? Following this strategic investment, the companies have shared another insightful update regarding the deal.
“With strong brands and presence across multiple channels, as well as top-tier leadership, Progressive Produce is an outstanding addition to our portfolio that is positioned for continued growth and success,” said Derek Yurosek, Managing Director of Arable Capital Partners.
Founded in 1976, Progressive Produce is among California’s premier produce companies, specializing in potatoes, onions, and asparagus. As it joins the broader Arable team, Marty Kamer will continue as Chief Executive Officer of Progressive Produce.
“With its long-term approach to investments and partnership mentality, Arable is a great fit with Progressive’s people-centered culture,” commented Kramer. “It is also clear to us that the group at Arable has a deep understanding of the nuances associated with the fresh produce industry.”
Progressive Produce will continue as an independent operator while also partnering with Pacific Trellis Fruit as a sister company, a press release explained.
Pacific Trellis Fruit is one of North America’s top year-round growers, shippers, and marketers of premium fresh fruits including table grapes, melons, cherries, plums, nectarines, peaches, and citrus.
“The two companies will now have even greater resources to deliver on their shared commitment of delivering excellent produce to customers,” said Josh Leichter, CEO of Pacific Trellis Fruit. “I’m looking forward to what’s ahead.”
Greg Richards, Managing Director of Arable Capital Partners, also echoed this excitement.
“Arable is thrilled to welcome another company who is a produce leader across top categories with a focus on quality and best practices,” said Richards.
