SPRINGFIELD, MA - Stores #16 and #17 are in the works for the Big Y Express and Convenience format, as Big Y Foods has announced the planned opening of the locations in Somers and Enfield, Connecticut. Both stores are slated to reopen as Big Y Express on July 15, 2023, bringing the total number in the state to six.

The first Big Y Express opened its doors in 2013 in Lee, Massachusetts, a release stated. The format includes amenities, including quick grab-and-go staples like milk, cold drinks, and snacks.

Big Y is currently hiring for management and select part-time positions at both locations.
