BrandStorm™ to Host Industry’s Marketing Icons for Fireside Chat
WASHINGTON, DC - Information is one of the most valuable things we can share in this industry. United Fresh’s annual BrandStorm™ event will take place online on March 9–11, featuring a panel of past United Fresh Produce Marketing and Merchandising Council Chairs Roger Pepperl, Cindy Jewell, and Mark Munger sitting fireside to offer their worthy perspectives on marketing fresh produce.
“As the staff liaison to the Produce Marketing and Merchandising Council, I’ve been fortunate to count Roger, Cindy, and Mark as mentors and trusted advisors,” said Mary Coppola, Vice President of Marketing and Communications, United Fresh. “They each bring unique perspectives and career experiences to the industry, which I’m excited to share with you—our produce marketing peers—during this year’s virtual BrandStorm conference."
The sixth annual event will offer insights on marketing strategies, tools, and innovations from marketing icons, including that of Roger Pepperl, who served as the Chair of United Fresh’s Produce Marketing and Merchandising Council from 2013-15 during his time as the Director of Marketing for Stemilt Growers, according to a press release. After 40 years in the industry, Pepperl retired this past December.
Pepperl’s valued successor, Cindy Jewell, served as the Chair of the council for the following two years, until 2017. She later became the Chair of the United Fresh Board of Directors, where she served from 2018-19, before founding a marketing consultancy, SC Jewell Inc.
“I count Roger and Cindy among my most respected industry friends and mentors,” said Mark Munger, 4Earth Farms’ Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “I’m looking forward to this intimate chat where they’ll share with the attendees their perspectives on innovative marketing strategies that have impacted our industry and shaped my own produce marketing career. It’s an honor and pleasure of mine to host this conversation.”
Munger served two consecutive terms as the Chair of the council, after taking over for Jewell in 2017. He is expected to relinquish this title this upcoming Spring.
United Fresh members can attend BrandStorm for $495 and non-members can attend for $695. You can register here.
