Famous Software's Natalie Kaita and Heather Hammack Discuss Suite of Famous Apps
FRESNO, CA - For Famous Software, streamlining operations is the name of the game, and the company is looking to score a significant win with its suite of Famous Apps. Allowing its customers to increase efficiency, the software company’s Quality Control (QC), Truck Check In, Sales App, and Receiving Apps provide an easy way for businesses to organize their daily processes, minimizing hassle, and maximizing productivity.
“All of our Famous Apps offer seamless integration with Famous ERP, where all of our customers’ data, including purchase orders, sales orders, and inventory, is already stored. This creates an easy-access mobile solution,” explains Natalie Kaita, Director of Sales and Marketing.
With Famous Software’s newest Receiving App, companies’ receiving teams can view a list of inbound purchases while allowing edits to be made through the App, automatically updating the purchase order in Famous’ ERP. To simplify things, the receiving process is handled on one easy screen, and pallet tags can be printed with the click of a button. After that, customers’ produce can be inspected using the Quality Control App, with results uploaded directly into Famous ERP for complete visibility.
The Quality Control App is also an easy-to-use app for inspection and was developed for QC professionals to help determine which products need to be delivered where.
“Inspections can now take place on a tablet in your facility—eliminating manual, paper-based reporting,” adds Natalie. “Inspection plans are created in Famous ERP and immediately become visible on the handheld device. The ‘Perform the Inspection’ feature of the App includes scoring, pictures, and comments which will be integrated back into Famous ERP. The Inspection Report can then be emailed from Famous or the device and will be visible at the source transaction level as well.”
Rounding out Famous Software’s suite of Apps is the Truck Check In App, which is also integrated with the company’s WMS product line. Through the solution, customers can streamline their check-in and shipping processes by checking in drivers right on their tablets. This App also eliminates the extra steps needed to collect carrier information, reducing overall wait time.
