Fareway Breaks Ground on New Norwalk, Iowa Site; Reynolds W. Cramer Comments
NORWALK, IA - Make way for a new store! Iowa’s getting a brand new Fareway store in Norwalk at 2200 Sunset Dr., which will replace the location at 1711 Sunset Dr., bringing back this beloved chain to the community.
“Our new location will serve as the gateway to the Norwalk Central development in the heart of the city, and we want to thank city officials for their commitment to growth with Fareway,” said Fareway Chief Executive Officer Reynolds W. Cramer. “We look forward to continuing to serve area residents with a larger, updated shopping experience with improved access and aesthetics.”
The grocer held a groundbreaking ceremony on March 30, and the new location sits on 24,000 square feet. As noted in the release, site work has begun, with anticipated construction completion in early 2024. The new, larger store footprint will boast a modern look, with more natural lighting and improved aesthetics, better access and parking, and energy efficiencies, such as rooftop solar panels.
Fareway’s new store will continue to provide what Norwalk area customers have come to know and expect at Fareway—farm-fresh produce; low, competitive prices; the highest level of customer service; and only the best in high-quality meat.
