HOUSTON, TX - Gordon Food Service® is expanding in the Lone Star State, tapping into this new market and offering its retail service stores to customers. Six of its stores will be located in the greater Houston area to serve local restaurants, food operations, as well as the general public.

As noted in a release, the new Gordon Food Service Stores are the first Texas locations and the most opened by the company at one time. Primarily designed to provide chef-quality food products to restaurant owners and foodservice operators, the new Gordon Food Service Stores will also cater to home cooks. A large seasonal produce department will be a fixture of the new stores, with an assortment of market-direct items available.

Each facility will employ an average of 40 full- and part-time team members and measure between 25,000 to 30,000 square feet in size. The decor, as the company explained, will be modern and fresh, with easy to navigate layouts for quick shopping.
