AUSTIN, TX - H-E-B is taking the grocery shopping experience up a notch for residents of Central and West Austin, Texas, as the retailer has announced the opening date for its newest store as February 15, 2023. This is the first multi-level H-E-B to grace Austin and features several exciting new features.

The retailer began construction on the site in 2019, according to an article from CultureMap Austin, but ran into delays due to the pandemic. However, the location looks to be worth the wait for shoppers as it features a porch with views of Lake Austin, two H-E-B restaurants, a full bar with indoor and outdoor seating, and a coffee shop.

H-E-B designed the store with several environmentally friendly elements, such as energy-efficient refrigeration with condensation capture for landscape irrigation, in addition to rooftop solar panels and EV chargers.

The chain’s signature curbside and home delivery services will also be available through the new location. To make shopping even more convenient for consumers, H-E-B has created structured underground parking, which will provide a myriad of parking options for vehicles while also creating a pedestrian- and bike-friendly perimeter.
