Kroger Names Josh Harpole as New VP of Merchandising for Louisville Division



LOUISVILLE, KY - Kroger has recently announced the appointment of a new Vice President of Merchandising for its Louisville Division. Josh Harpole, former District Manager within Kroger’s King Soopers Division, has been tapped to fill the role, overseeing merchandising for 116 stores and over 17,000 employees throughout Kentucky, Southern Illinois, and Southern Indiana.

Harpole joined the King Soopers Division in 1994 as a courtesy clerk and continued to hold a variety of leadership roles. In 2006, he was named Operations Coordinator, and then, in 2008, was promoted to Assistant Merchandiser for Deli/Bakery, and later, Merchandiser for the same department.

Not only experienced, but well educated, Harpole earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Regis University as well as a master’s degree in marketing from the University of Colorado.

"Louisville is an exciting, growing division and I can’t wait to get started,” Harpole said in a release.
