Meijer Partners With Uber Technologies to Expand Delivery Operations; Christian Freese Comments



SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Meijer’s newest alliance is providing the grocer with expanded reach just in time for the holiday sales boost. The privately owned grocer has unveiled a partnership with Uber Technologies, through which it will offer on-demand and scheduled grocery delivery to customers across the Midwest.

Not only does this bolster Meijer’s expanding consumer reach, but the partnership also solidifies Uber Eats' national expansion of grocery selection for consumers across Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin, a press release stated.

Meijer locations will be featured stores throughout the Uber Eats app this season and will be included in Uber's Holiday Shop. Starting this week and continuing through the winter, nearly 250 Meijer locations will be available to shop through Uber and Uber Eats. Shoppers will be able to order holiday must-haves such as fresh produce, baked goods, and more to be delivered right to their doorsteps.
