EL DORADO HILLS, CA - Last we heard about Raley’s recently launched O-N-E Market format, the grocer was announcing the opening of its newest location in Truckee, California. Further expanding its footprint, Raley’s has now revealed that it will be converting one of its stores in El Dorado Hills, CA, to take on the health-forward format.

"We are wholly committed to our purpose of changing the way the world eats, one plate at a time. It inspires and guides every decision we make, including this one to convert our El Dorado Hills store," CEO Keith Knopf said. "We care deeply about the health and well-being of the people and communities we serve and take our stewardship as a neighborhood food company seriously."

According to Sacramento Business Journal, the store will close its doors from April 12 to 16 while the conversion gets underway. Raley’s doors are scheduled to open again on April 17, greeting the public with its organics, nutrition, and education mission at the forefront.

The news source noted that Raley’s refreshed store will host a diverse selection of fresh, healthy, ethically sourced foods. With fresh produce a key destination, the retailer reports that there will be no highly processed products anywhere in the store.

"The Raley’s O-N-E Market concept is an important part of our long-range strategy, so future conversions of additional stores is certainly a possibility. We are constantly listening to feedback from our customers and learning from our bold moves in order to offer the appropriate product selection and best shopping experience possible to each of our communities," Public Relations and Partnerships Manager Kevin Buffalino said.

The move to make this transformation was reportedly spurred by increasing interest in organic, clean products from the area’s shoppers. This is the first time Raley’s has converted an existing store to take on the O-N-E Market format.
