Randy Giumarra Named Chairman at the 82nd Annual CFFA Meeting
MONTEREY, CA - Gathering together the industry for its 82nd Annual Meeting, the California Fresh Fruit Association announced that it has elected Randy Giumarra its next Chairman, succeeding Harold McClarty.
“I’m extremely honored to take on this position, and I thank both the Board for their vote of confidence, as well as Harold for all that he has done for the CFFA and California’s fresh fruit community over the last two years,” Randy shared with me upon the announcement. “I hope to be able to uphold those same steps he put in place and help push our industry even further in the coming two-year term.”
Randy moves into this position from his role as First Vice-Chair, bringing knowledge not only from working directly with Harold and the Board, but also as a produce veteran with more than 20 years in the business. In addition to his work with the CFFA, Randy is the Vice President of Sales for Giumarra Vineyards Corporation.
The 82nd Annual Meeting kicked off Sunday, March 25th, and finishes off its proceedings today. Taking place amongst the beautiful Monterey landscape at The Inn at Spanish Bay™ in Pebble Beach, the CFFA Room Block sold out before closing registration prior to the event.
Celebrating the CFFA's 82 years working collectively to better our industry, every Annual Meeting is a unique event that represents a collection of abundant memories.
Congratulations to Randy on his election being added to those memories, and to Harold on a successful term leading the CFFA!
