Trinity Fruit Company Prepares for Stonefruit Season; Angela Hernandez Details
FRESNO, CA - Juicy nectarines, plums, and peaches are getting ready to take the produce aisle by storm as stonefruit season gets underway. To learn more about what buyers can anticipate, I turned to the one and only Angela Hernandez, Director of Marketing for Trinity Fruit Company, for the 411.
“We have just started stonefruit season—peaches, nectarines, and plums, OH MY!” she enthusiastically tells me. “With the weather we experienced in California, we will be starting light but ramping up in June and expecting a good crop with great quality.”
Trinity Fruit grows its stonefruit in the Golden State’s Central Valley, where wet weather impacted the ag sector. However, despite those challenges, the grower is optimistic that things will be in their favor and “consumers’ flavor,” as Angela says.
This season, the supplier has many varieties to be harvested and a new program kicking off.
“Starting in late July, we will have our NEW Donna Canning Peach program. This delicious peach has high brix, and the consumers will LOVE it!” Angela explains.
It is said that shoppers eat with their eyes first, so now is a great time to take advantage of the colorful produce coming to the produce aisle, including Trinity Fruit’s mouth-watering stonefruit options, to boost sales. To help, the grower is running its Have your peach and eat it too campaign, which will draw consumers in.
“It’s the season to make your produce departments flare with the vibrant colors of summer fruit! I love to shop in a grocery store that entices me to purchase with the beautiful produce departments displayed with beautiful fruit and veggies,” adds Angela.
As the heat ramps up, give your shoppers juicy, delicious Trinity Fruit stonefruit to make their summer days swell!
