MURRIETA, CA - The organic sector is heating up as innovators across the industry ready to showcase their unique offerings at the Organic Produce Network’s (OPN) upcoming Organic Produce Summit (OPS) on September 15–16. With West Pak Avocado among the list of attendees this year, I tapped Jared Bray, Sales and Business Development, to discuss the company’s plans for the show.

Jared Bray, Sales and Business Development, West Pak Avocado“We always look forward to the Organic Produce Summit every year, as it gives us a chance to network, meet face-to-face with existing customers, and introduce ourselves to new ones,” Jared said. “It’s the perfect venue for organics, as the show allows us to showcase both our offerings and our commitment to the category.”

As it sets out to highlight its dedication to providing high-quality, organic avocados, West Pak will be showcasing its full line of bulk and bagged organic avocados, including its branded offerings such as California Gold and Lil’Cados. In addition, the grower will also be presenting options for Fair Trade avocados, which address critical issues like equal pay for farmers, gender equality, and climate change.

These alluring products will be easy to spot on the show floor, as they’ll be encased in West Pak’s unique vibrant yellow packaging.

“We’re turning the industry yellow for organics. When you see the yellow West Pak box or bag, you know there is organically grown fruit inside. It’s a sunny shade that signifies life, energy, goodness, and growth, and is our signature color on all of our organic offerings,” Jared explains.

And, as the topic of packaging lingers, Jared mentions another critical initiative at West Pak, detailing how the grower has set its focus on finding ways to help reduce unnecessary packaging materials in the produce marketplace. As it fortifies its admirable commitment to sustainability, the avocado purveyor is also looking to double down on its organic operations to meet heightening demand in the retail sector.

“We see the demand rising and have the supply lined up to ensure we meet that need,” Jared adds. “We also have boots on the ground with our best organic growers to stay on top of what they are doing and how they are doing it. That way, we know we’re putting the best possible sustainably sourced organic product out there.”

Organic innovations are sure to be present at booth #241, so don’t forget to stop by during the Organic Produce Summit!
