Whole Foods to Open New Location in Boulder, Colorado
BOULDER, CO - There is no doubt that Whole Foods Market has mapped out a detailed blueprint for expansion, as more and more locations continue to pop up around the country. This time building on its Colorado presence, the grocer announced its new Boulder location at the Table Mesa Shopping Center will be opening today.
The new 32,000-square-foot store is located at 695 S. Broadway, in a former Lucky’s Market anchor space that has been vacant for about a year, according to a press release. The new market features an expansive produce department offering fresh fruits and vegetables, including local organic offerings from Hazel Dell, Strohauer Farms, and Domenico Farms.
To celebrate the recent expansion, the Boulder Table Mesa store has launched a “Shop Local, Give Local” program from February 24 to March 17, during which Whole Foods Market will match all purchases of local products up to $10,000 and donate them to a local nonprofit, Growing Gardens, which provides food donations and sustainable agriculture education to Boulder County residents.
The announcement joins a long list of expansion plans set by the grocer, which currently has stores in development in California, Colorado, New York, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin. Among those in development, a few new markets listed include:
- California - Poway
- Connecticut - Avon
- Florida - Ft. Lauderdale
- Maryland - Towson
- New Hampshire - Portsmouth
- New Jersey - Skillman
- New Jersey - Woodcliff Lake
