California Walnut Commission

The California Walnut Board was established in 1948 to represent the walnut growers and handlers of California. The Board is funded by mandatory assessments of the handlers. The California Walnut Commission, established in 1987, is funded by mandatory assessments of the growers.
The California Walnut Board and California Walnut Commission represent the California walnut industry, made up of nearly 100 handlers and 4,500+ growers.
California walnuts are over 99% of U.S. production of English walnuts and two-thirds of the world trade.
