Strube Celery and Vegetable Co
Strube Celery and Vegetable Company is the oldest federally licensed wholesale produce company in the Chicago area. Established in 1913 by Fred Strube, Strube has grown over the years to become a nationally recognized model of a successful wholesale produce business, as well as, a good example of a four generation family business. Recognition of Strube’s accomplishments include; 1996 University of Illinois Chicago’s Small Business of the Year, 1996 Illinois Family Business of the Year, The 1997 Arthur Anderson Small Business of the Year and 1999 Chicago Business Ethics Award.
