Aldi Expands Presence in Georgia With Two New Stores; Shaun O’Keefe Discusses
ATLANTA, GEORGIA - Aldi’s prowess in the Southern markets continues to grow as the retailer tacked on multiple new locations to its growing store footprint. This month, the retailer announced it debuted two new stores in Buford and Marietta, Georgia, strengthening its hold on the Atlanta market.
“Aldi has proudly served metro Atlanta for nearly 20 years, and our new Buford and Marietta stores are a part of our ongoing commitment to the community,” Shaun O’Keefe, Division Vice President for Aldi USA, said in a press release. “As one of America’s fastest-growing retailers, we look forward to continuing to offer area residents high-quality, fresh foods and low prices in every Aldi aisle, every day.”
Aldi currently operates nearly 60 stores in the Atlanta market, and more than 2,100 stores across 37 states. These two additional locations are a component of the retailer’s aggressive national expansion, according to What Now Atlanta.
Aldi serves millions of customers across the country each month and is currently on track to rapidly expanding its footprint to become one of the largest grocery retailers by store count by the end of 2022.
As the retailer presses forward with this advantageous expansion, ANUK will continue to report.
